Anyone here teach English in South America? Anyone in Peru, in particular?

I really want to spend some time in Lima, but after some basic research, it looks like it can be hard to find a teaching job in Lima from overseas, but I don't really want to spend money on a flight down there without being rather certain of getting a job.

If anyone has been through the process there, or in other Latin American cities, I guess (I suppose the process may be similar), I'd appreciate input.
