Hi /trv/, I'm going to Japan in 2 years for overseas study and I have to pick a university to be at. Which universities/cities would you recommend that aren't too intensive and offer a nice atmosphere?

The available ones i'm considering are ibaraki, osaka prefecture and chiba.

I have a friend who went to Sophia. It's in Tokyo. She seemed to like it. It's regarded as a good school, but I don't think it's particularly intense. There are lots of non-Japanese students there. It's a Jesuit school, but I don't think they're particularly intense about that aspect of it either.
