Hi /trv/, I want to head to japan for the next rugby world cup, and since i just landed a stable job i want to start saving. How much do you guys is a good amount to save up for a trip like this?

Yeah, but i figure saving for it is going to be a lot easier if i start now, i expect it to be pretty expensive and i dont make a whole lot. I expect to stay for between 1 and two months, and yeah I think i'll buy tickets to the finals, though if they end up being england vs south africa or something lame i might scalp em.

As I have similar plans to go to Japan for the WC I have started thinking of the best ways to save money and the recommendations I have gotten is putting it in medium risk unit trusts, You have access to the money in case of emergency and it should beat the rates offered by the banks.
