>>1044656I'm from Wisconsin and travel around the different corners of the state on the weekends.
If you like cities, then downtown Milwaukee is pretty cool. There are coffee shops on the lakeside and tons of awesome restaurants.Milwaukee also has some gigantic historic churches that are cool to check out. Madison is also very popular, the main street has a lot of hippy shops and stuff like that.
If you like the outdoors, then check out Door County/Door Peninsula. Hike the Ellison Bay bluffs, Cave point county park Peninsula State Park. Drive up to Gills Rock and see some INCREDIBLE scenery.
If you are going up to NORTHERN Wisconsin, then you really can't go wrong. It's all just gorgeous up there. Drive through Nicolet National Forest and see some gigantic pines, thick forests, gorgeous lakes, rolling hills, and untouched hiking trails.
If you're coming in through the west, then La Crosse is a really cool town. There's a bluff that overlooks the city, and a downtown strip full of businesses. On the outskirts, the area is called the "driftless region", which has some interesting landscape. There's tons of 1000 foot hills, rivers, and also omish roadside businesses. Check out Wildcat Mountain State Park, it's FUCKING EPIC.
