I'm new to this as I've never took a trip outside of North America before. I've been to Canada to visit friends, and Mexico to visit family.

I have many questions if you don't mind answering them.

I have heard Japan is very Xenophobic from many people, although my friend who is Black says the contrary (but I won't be traveling with him), is this true? I am Mexican if that wasn't already addressed.

I don't speak a lick of Japanese, nor can I read Kanji, should I try to learn a bit before going?

How should one go about not being a tourist, I do have good socializing skills, so does that help in any way?

I was considering taking a trip there for about roughly a month, would that be ideal or should I consider less time?

I am a fanatic of outdoors as well, is the country side worth seeing?

Any good cities with a good night life such as clubs and what not to visit?

Around how much money should one plan to spend while their stay?
