Okay, so here's the situation, /trv/:

I'm American. My lease on my apartment ends at the end of this month. However, I need to be back in this area for my graduation in the middle of December. I have some money saved up, but by no means a lot, and I'm not terribly eager to part with it. I have a car. I have no passport.

How should I spend the next month+, /trv/?
Where should I go?

If I were you I would plan an elaborate road trip around the country. I've always thought Alaska would be incredible if I had a month, but December isn't the best time for the far north. You could also fly to Hawaii or Puerto Rico, or one of the tropical territories of the US without a passport and backpack around for a while. That's what I'd do at least without a passport in the US for a month in November.

I've been thinking about something like that, I've been wanting to go out west for quite a while, but I've only got a month and I'd like to take a bit longer, so I had planned on waiting until after Christmas.
I've considered going down to Florida for a bit, but I was just there this summer, don't know what I'd do down there for a month that I didn't just do 3 months ago.
Hawaii is out of the question, flight is way too expensive. Haven't looked into Puerto Rico. Something to think about though.
