Maybe it came across as stale or pandered to the wrong demographic. Also, how many dramas about espionage do big box office numbers? I believe Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, being of the same ilk, suffered a similar fate.
On the bright side, it's a low-budget movie, given the talent behind it. I'm sure it'll make a tidy profit.
