Was I suggesting casting a 65 year old recent (and very late) transitioner? No. But there are doubtless dozens, probably hundreds, of transwomen between 20 and 40 (and MRod is pushing 40, let's not forget) with acting ambitions who would probably love a legitimate break. And unless "The Doctor's" technique is basically magic, surgically altering a male to become a female gives you a transwoman, physically if not mentally.

Believe me, I'm far from the professionally offended set, but it just seems painfully short-sighted to cast a movie this way in this day and age. This is like casting Italians as Native Americans, something you'd think Hollywood would want to be seen as moving past. Sean Young as Lois Einhorn was over twenty years ago, they should try and do better.
