Might be Sony, but I think it's WB.
Anime adaptations aren't a completely horrible idea, Akira COULD be done well, just not under Warner.
Especially since it'll be a studio movie and not a movie by someone who actually cares about the source material/subject.
Last time I checked they hired a director for Akira that hates Japan and the script was being written by some guy that worked on Daredevil (Netflix Series).
Personally if I ever get the chance to direct I'd want to do Yu Yu Hakusho, but I'd want to keep it animated.
