>>62242991>>62243057I never really got the hype with 3D either, honestly I hardly even notice much of a difference, I'm just saying that's why we lost out on a lot of the cool practical effects, which then had to be replaced with CGI. Sure, a good chunk of it is Hackson being lazy, but a lot of it is also because muh 3D, which every major blockbuster seems to have now for some stupid reason. And Smaug had four limbs instead of 6 like he was supposed to because that's been the go to design for dragons in hollywood for years now, which shouldn't even be an excuse as most of those movies had total creative control where the hobbit already had a precedent design for Smaug, and because it works better with motion capture so they can get bendmydick cuminsnatch to slide around the floor and hiss instead of having to get creative with how they animate him. Don't get me wrong, I really, really dislike the decisions hackson, or at least the publishers, made regarding the movie, but I can understand why they were made. Still makes me fucking mad though.
