Honestly, it was great up until III.

The worst part of the series is the fucktarded "end of the world" bullshit with the pieces of eden. It was so contrived and stupid that if they cut it out of the game everything would be so much better.

I honestly haven't played any of the games past III, but I've heard Black Flag was good, but still not interested in getting it.

Never played Revelations either. Brotherhood is the best game in the series I've played, it was like they took all the already massive improvements they made with II, and made it better.

What about Feudal Japan, the time period people have constantly asked for since the serie's inception? Or perhaps ancient Egypt or Greece.

How was the modern story of Black Flag? I'm really out of touch with what happened especially since the major protagonist (Desmond) was killed off basically.

The entire plot about the world ending due to a coronal mass ejection was so contrived and stupid, it felt so out of place in the game, it was like it was a completely separate idea for a completely separate game thrown into an existing series.

Ancient Egypt would be nice, but I don't know the assassin lore that well. I was under the assumption that the Assassin order began during the Crusades, as well as the Templar order.

The story I understood was that the Templars arose to power after gaining the wealth they found in the crusades, and they also found a piece of eden or something which gave them more power (been a long time since I replayed these games).

The end of the Reconquista, the start of the Inquisition, the personal union between Castille and Aragon and the conquest of Granada all happened in the 15th century.

Literally one of the most fascinating periods of European history although I'd be willing to bet my entire bank account that the entire movie is focused around the expulsion of the Jews

Feudal Japan is an extremely overused setting, in both movies and games, not to mention how utterly anachronistic it would be to have a pair of centuries-old European powers running amok in Japan any time before 1945. Don't be a weeb.

Like another anon said, ancient history isn't really viable either without some major revisions of the series' lore, since both factions were a product of the Crusades.

Personally, I think Scandinavia has been the most overlooked. I'd like to see late-11th/early-12th century Viking Templars taking on Welsh or German Assassins en route to the Holy Lands. Shit would be cash.

I'd disagree but I can see where you're coming from.

Syndicate was way better than Unity which gives me some hope for the future. I liked Evie a lot.

I think 1 is honestly underrated; it has the best setting and writing IMO (2 has a better "story" but the dialogue in 1 is better, if that makes sense).

If there's one thing I at least used to look forward to in AssCreed it was that the ending would be batshit retarded and hilarious but there's no way they're putting anything that weird in a mainstream movie.
