Yeah, the ending was about as predictable and lazy as it gets. Also the cannibals did nothing but run at them and get shot, it happens like 5 times in exactly the same way.

Rams, Rudderless, Dancing Arabs, A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence, Tangerines, 99 Homes, Springs, Son of Saul, Sunset Song, Cemetary of Splendour, Desierto, Entertainment, Partisan, Land and Shade, and The Wonders are all undoubtedly more underrated. Most of them are much more ambitious, too.

Richard Jenkins was absolutely spot-on, got more than a few belly-laughs out of me over the course of the movie, and I'm normally a miserable cunt.

Also, great soundtrack. The ending was a little schmaltzy, I'd like to see an alternate cut where they all die like they obviously should have.

So ok 90% of the movie is just walking to the Indians cave, ok whatever. Than they all get decimated within a minute, ok whatever. Shit pace so far ,but whatever. Figure they are going for a realistic approach and everyone is going to end up dying. NOPE. Cripple boy comes to their rescue, literally crawling on the ground and kills all the Indians. How does he do this? By doing the same thing over and over. Yep, he whistles from the throat bone thing and they come to him and he shoots them. That's the last 15 minutes of the movie. Just this guy crawling around on the ground, whistling his throat flute and shooting indian over and over again. It was just plain horrible.

Good up until the last part with the cripple.

I think it should've been revealed that cripple guy's leg had been amputated as was implied, but he is able to limp/crawl to the cave only to find it blown to smithereens, and his wife's medical kit charred and scattered at the foot of the cliff.

Patrick Wilson ruined this movie. I fucking hate that guy. Holy shit. It was so damn good otherwise, though when they finally got to the Indians they were like something out of a fucking SyFy movie. Other than that, great. The ending did feel cheap, too. It could have been a much better shootout with a vaguely happy ending and it would have been fine. But Crips McGee was not the hero Brighthope deserved

There was a Western werewolf movie come out in mid September I think it was that was surprisingly decent.

The werewolf design is a bit wonky but it stays outta frame for most of the movie and everyone of the characters are interesting
