>>62243343Fuck that. I grew up with the sequel/prequel (2000-) Star Wars: TCG hype, stickers hype, all the hype. That was the Star Wars I got used to. I wasn't -that- surprised tbh.
But when I watched the classics I fell in love with them immediately. They were reminiscent of a Sega Genesis (I think) game, and I had some nostalgia tied to that.
With the classic, there is a sense of mystery to the whole world. You just never know what to expect. With the sequels that mystery just vanishes and you're left with a standard sci fi story flick without any higher or subtle components.
I just hope that this one can bring some of that mystery back. I think it's beneficial for all that it is a good film and for that reason I hope that it is.
