For Halloween's sake, I just watched Ringu, the Ring, Ju-On, and the Grudge in that order, trying to draw a good comparison between the original J-horror films, and the American remakes, and I have come to the conclusion that we in America are better at J-horror than the Japanese.

It is also worth noting that I have read the novel Ringu that the film is based on, and can speak moon (poorly) but I did watch them without dubs.
