Meaning that they all had the same goals, killig Jedi, creating Empires, etc. Dooku wouldnt just betray those goals and ideals and reveal Palpy Sheev at the drop of a hands. He has more self respect and respect for Sheev than that.

That's the problem wirth the prequels. No character has any personal motivation to do something, they either are tricked to do it, like Anakin falling to the dark side, or they follow some stupid dogma without questioning it.
