No they're not gay. They're just confused because everyone wants them to be in order for them to appear progressive and supportive. They don't actually give a shit about Tweek and Craig as people, they just care about the "cause" that they represent. That's why they keep giving them money, because they want to "support" them even though they don't actually care because if they actually cared they'd know that they werent gay.
