rarely any discussion of a film's faults since that might call into question people's love of a film, especially ones drenched in nostalgia.
i think its fairly obvious that a worthwhile film review needs analysis of the plot, cinematography, writing, acting, and context of the film with a director's filmography. maybe comparison with films that concern the same themes or have influenced it.
what they dont need are: "this thing happened, then this, then that, and it was really funny that this person did that; oh and HE was in it and i laughed a lot especially at this part"
