while, in the series, we only knew Laura through other's perspective it was harrowing to witness her final days in FWWM
Way more psychological, dread filled horror and pathos than the series. So I can see how that shift through audiences off. No quirk, or at least not the typical quirk. But It made the character of Laura all the more tragic and was really effective.
