He's doing pretty well these days. He's in TFA, will almost certainly be in EP8 and probably EP9, he's in Arrow or Flash or whatever, his voice work as the Joker is widely considered the best performance of the character by fans. He lost weight and looks pretty good. I think he's doing quite well for himself.

This. Luke looking like an actual warrior who has been fighting in bloody rebel battles for years as he aged helped set the tone in ESB and ROTJ. I still think he looked pretty good too. This tbh fams. He's had a steady career of good work for 4 decades. That's incredible, sure he never was Chris Patt tier, or 90s Brad Pitt tier. But he has worked in a lot different stuff. There are actors that would kill for the recognition he has gotten, and to be able to work for as long as he has in the industry.

As others have said, he got fairly consistent work and has a great voice acting career. What you have to understand about Hamill is he's really a big geek who got lucky. He probably enjoyed playing Trickster in the 90s Flash show more than Luke, a role which he returned to in the recent CW show, despite being a big name again thanks to Ep VII. Hell, he probably would have done it for free. So, from Hamill's point of view, doing stuff like Joker etc, that's the dream for him.
