Again, even if the original scope of the comic was to tell a story that theoretically takes place in a summer period not depicted in the show that takes place over any number of weeks . . . yeah, none of that stops it from now ending with some giant orgy that pairs off a whole mess of girls and then a final shot that goes, "Timmy decided being a girl was what she really needed and the two of them banged forevermore, along with all the other girls."
Hell, there's also nothing stopping it from just ending on a quiet sweet note of Timmantha and Trixie holding hands and staring into each other's eyes as the final day's sun sets and someone calls from off screen that the buses are leaving soon. If you really want to be pessimistic you can tell yourself it goes back to show status quo and everybody's sad . . . or you can just decide that it doesn't.
