It's all kind of bullshit anyway, the DB guys calculated the mech punched Yang with like 140 tons of force or something, and she was more or less fine. If a huge weaponized mech suit can't deplete aura, how are the (un)conventional weapons the characters wield ever supposed to stand a logical chance at it? Yet we have Cardin knocking Jaune around a bit and completely depleting his aura, despite Jaune having "a lot of it."
I guess it works out for RT since they don't want anyone dying, but that just leads back to the bigger problem of the fights having absolutely zero suspense to them, and exist purely as eye candy (even less so with Monty gone now).
Goddammit this show is a mess.
