>>1902287At school, Yuuko finds that she's not the only transfer student. Having no luck with her search, the goddess's decided to transfer in as well. One of the girls in the class turns out to be a miko in training for the local shrine. Of course, the miko recognizes the goddess and starts to invite herself over to Yuuko's room.
One day, Yuuko returns home, only to find an intimidating woman in black suit. She introduces herself as the local shinigami and accuses the goddess behind Yuuko. Thank you for making her job more hellish than the actual Hell. The goddess' presence has set the supernatural activity in the region into overdrive, causing fatal dangers where there shouldn't be. The local shinigami decides to tag herself along Yuuko and the goddess, saying that she can't let an innocent girl die before her time because of some senseless deity.
That night, soon after the goddess leaves to discuss her search with the shinigami, Yuuko finds out why the rent for the room is so cheap. The place is haunted by a jibakurei - who turns out to be a quite delightful girl. The ghost admits that she's tried her best to freak the tenants out over the years but couldn't do the same to Yuuko because Yuuko reminded her of her sister. The ghost muses meeting a shinigami must have opened Yuuko's spiritual eyes.
Yuuko realizes that her new friends are more or less immune to her misfortune because of their strong connection to the supernatural. But just when Yuuko is beginning to get comfortable, the goddess disappears.
That night, Yuuko is attacked by a platoon of youkai. The ghost and the shinigami manage to dispatch them, but both are injured in the fight.
Yuuko blames herself for the misfortune that's befallen the shinigami and the ghost. The goddess reappears in the morning and quietly announces that her search has taken a turn for the worse.
