The main pair is as disabled as it can get. There is absolutely nothing you can get out of them since one is a gluttonous, genuinely stupid person, who has the mental age of a 4-year old, spiced up with jealousy issues, while the other is a socially inept pervert, who is as thick as a neutron star.
Mitsuki kaichou is out of the loop, since she shlicks to Haruka every night and Rina also has a one-sided crush on Mitsuki.
Now that covers 2/3rd of the whole manga, there are the rest: the married couple and the manzai couple. While the married couple provides true satisfaction, they don't have many scenes and they are stagnant, they don't go anywhere.
That's why people look forward to Yuzu and Kaede, because that's where they can expect some development. And since they are comic relief characters, their relationship is more ligthearted than the others.
People always wish for more, that's why they look forward to the interactions of characters, who are not together yet.
