it's maybe two or three seconds, it looks a lot scarier than it actually is. most maps don't have good areas to use it, but there are some pushes where it can be useful.

even then there are far better area ults. zarya, reinhardt and pharah are all a lot scarier and have better combos with each other and others.

Those weekends will only start after Blizzcon but we don't know if it will be every weekend yet. Also, it's not open at all. They will just select random players from the opt-in pool, but a lot of them. And those will have access to the beta weekends.

I don't think your friend was lying, he was just misinformed like I was at first.

Sure, check out the official twitter accounts, they announce when they send waves of beta invites. It seems really random though, don't look forward to see a specific pattern. Or just check your bnet account regularly to see if Overwatch is registered in your owned games

it's really dire to have prime optimization. Blizzard is usually pretty good about that. Especially since the game is incredibly stylized I was hoping they would be making use of this, but who knows until it actually comes out, because sysreqs haven't been accurate in many many many years.

Streamers with rigs with 980s and titans are hardly the majority of the market. If blizzard wants money they need that cash from kids and teens. They're the reason hearthstone was such a success, and HOTS is such a meh.

don't mistake my pessimism for paranoia, I don't for a minute think blizzard is making some sort of conspiracy, I just don't think they have the capability of optimizing their shit to a point where it can reach the audience it needs to reach to thrive in a way they're trying to make it with this forced hype and key distribution to major streamers.
