for example the 360 already has working emulators (working as in they can run shit successfully, just not well at all). As a result microshaft is finally implementing cross platform games for the Xbone and Windows.
If we made an emulator it would make piracy more prominent, and as a tactic they would push shit to steam or origin or some shit as ports to stop it. its how it worked before so i see no reason it wouldnt work again. all the wiiu shit for the e-shop is like this. all the oldergames are being ported to get the royalties to the companies that made them.
Its a less aggressive form of fighting piracy

hell mod it and install a 4TB HDD and install all games onto that HDD as someone has made a script to do all that. literally just have everything an xbox ever had on an actual xbox
