Nintendo will release a completely revamped online service under the name "Nintendo Account," linking traditional Nintendo hardware with PCs and mobile devices.
The first Nintendo mobile "game" is "Miitomo," which demonstrates how all of these devices will be linked. Game is in quotes, because Miitomo is really more like a communication app.
Alongside Nintendo Account is "My Nintendo," the replacement for Club Nintendo. In this new service, you can earn points both from buying Nintendo software and hardware, but also by playing the games. No word on how to get rewards from playing games, but this idea would work well with an achievement system.
You can use your points on digital content, merchandise, and discounts.
I hope we can use our points to get Amiibos. Speaking of which, Nintendo won't stop producing them. They're too much of a gold mine. Nintendo is also looking into ways on how to get third parties to start using amiibos more.
Nintendo Directs are also going to continue. We really shouldn't be too alarmed we haven't had one since July all things considered. There will be 'at least one' by the end of this year. My prediction is in November since early December feels pretty full with The Game Awards and PlayStation Experience.
Most important of all announcements is the NX, which will be shown in full at E3 2016.
