Why is Call of Duty so unfairly dismissed by reactionary, self-authorized people among the video game community?

The success of this series was not an accident, or something that happened by magic. It has perfectly maintained an unbreakable formula of gameplay and longevity.

Needless to say, there is nothing wrong with enjoying this series, and it is better than most of its contemporaries.
