>>314751002It's a mediocre game, with a different audience than us. Everything about it screams 'I'm a title targeted at girls from 14-25.
It starts with the protagonist; and her getting 'supernatural powers' for no reason.
The way she uses them in her everyday life. The people she is surrounded with (mostly female classmates and one beta-faggot)... all of the writing centers around this.
The antagonist being 'the popular teacher' with a good reputation, also happens to be a primal fear of schoolgirls. Even minor themes like the esoteric "spririt animals"... a plot thread(?) leading nowhere, shows this.
I also think this game benefitted somewhat from being episodic. Since every finale, gave enough reason to talk about it. The plot holes are significant but for many females probably irrelevant. It's a fantasy for them.
