Visuals are nice

Story is shit compared to previous games, sets up too much for next game instead of focusing on being a decent story in itself.

Multiplayer is fucking shit annoying with a different aiming system, no forge, no infection, and this weird ass card bullshit. Also, you spawn right in front of your enemies likes half the time on some of the maps.

If you were hoping for something like what previous games have been or even Halo 4, you'll be disappointed.

multiplayer feels just like playing 4 only the sound design is much better and the pistol is fucking overpowered.

not many options on the playlists though, you get team slayer (which i have really only played) and then you get arena which are game modes that are weird as fuck. id rather play team slayer but at least have some BR starts sprinkled in god damn.

also, for a game launching with like 15 maps or whatever it was, ive only seen 4 of them. one map ive played once, and the other games have been 50% that outdoor symmetrical one

Doesn't need to play like past games but when it drops tons of game modes and features that past games had and adds microtransactions then it's a problem.

They're trying to grab a younger audience but failed to realize that this audience jumps from game to game and isn't going to stay on Halo for too long. The people that kept past Halo games alive and populated are turned off and aren't going to buy this one.

Not great. The campaign is short and story is bad. Most of the levels are not memorable like classics in the Bungie Halo games; little replay value. Multiplayer is a bit better, but not very many maps yet and no Big Team Battle or anything. Also feels even more like COD than 4. I'd give it a 6/10, fun enough at the moment but certainly wasn't worth buying an Xbone for.

The new additions to your movement (Spartan Charge, the dash, and ground pound) are great
UI and menus are snazzy
Pretty fast load times
Some of the armor designs are neat
Free maps

Missing a good number of game modes
REQ system is horrendous and actively discourages you from using it
Most of Locke's levels
The story overall is pretty bad and is mostly just a setup for the next game(s)
Resolution scaling makes things look weird sometimes
Players and enemies have animation drops when far away (I could see this being sorta find in campaign, but holy fuck is it horrible in multiplayer)
Some armor designs are terrible

I'd get it a 7/10. The gameplay is excellent and well-polished, but not much else is. With a few additions and adjustments I think it could easily be a 9/10

Haven't completed the campaign and that doesn't affect my scoring anyway

it would be a 9/10 but the 30 FPS animations can be a little jarring. the gameplay is fantastic and you move around really quick, you feel like a supersoldier zipping around and shit

Halo 5's shitty campaign with terrible OCs along with its fucking garbage designs is only one of the reasons why I don't like it. Most of the multiplayer maps I've seen are also shit, I'm not paying to "experience" the game so I can justify myself to you. I didn't say I liked the campaign or alot of the visual designs I'm simply pointing out the game has pulled shit our oh so precious Bungie pulled multiple times and that anyone saying the gameplay is like COD is a fucking moron.
Trying to play this game like COD gets you fucked in the ass by anyone with any sense, they're what we call shitters. Personally so far I think the Pistol and Grenades need their damage toned back but I also think anyone that cries out for their BR when the strong as hell Pistol exists right now is an idiot too.

The multiplayer actually looks good. Warzone sounds like a great idea, and the PvP is probably just normal Halo.

Sad the campaign is meh though. All Halo games have had campaign problems, but 343's are too linear and small.

If you play on Normal you can easily complete it in less than 6 hours. And unlike CE-Reach, there's no point in playing on higher difficulties because they're badly designed instead of challenging but fair.
