Would the GameCube have done better if it didn't have the "kiddy" image?

It was kind of like the perfect storm in terms of public image problems:

>Celda
>Mario Sunshine
>No GTA

It would have ton WAY better if Nintendo wouldn't had treated 3rd party devs like shit. Pretty much their biggest sin since day 1, even if it did save the industry back in mid 00s.

Not really. Xbox Hueg was marketed towards the most mature audience and that didn't sell much better than the GC. I also believe the GC had higher quality games than the Xbox too.
PS2 was always going to be the king though.
