>>314753975>so whats to say the emperor wont reincarnate himself when the golden throne fails? The thing is complicated, the emperor should have been able to recover from the wounds caused by horus which included:
An arm ripped off
An eye ripped off
Neck bone broken

By in the intro of the inquisitor (RPG TT game) rule book it's hinted that the inquisition fucked up the golden throne to prevent the emperor from healing and thus sitting on the throne as deity to worship forever, however at the current stage the emperor has a presence in the warp while still being anchored on his physical form.
What does this mean? Well it's likely that if he was to die he would become the fifth and most powerful chaos god because of all that empowerment received from praying and believing and the faith humans have in him (the god of order)which would in turn fuck all the other 4 gods out of existence.
However, there's a warp rift under the golden throne Im no sure what the current fluff about it is now, but in the past it used to be a failed webway experiment made by the emperor, so he currently not only his managing the astronomican but he's also using his psychic might to keep this rift in control, in the case he would leave the throne for some time if he dies or even if he walks out of it nobody would be there to manage these two things which would result in:
1) No way for manking for interstellar travel without the astronomican
2) the warp rift would expand eating, the whole solar system and probably more spawning a new eye of terror.
