I mained Cody for some time, he is pretty good. Remember to keep your BINGOS stored and ex BINGO is fucking powerful. If they ever good for a focus attack do Ruffian Kick.

And get that knife, it makes normals do chip damage which is easy good.

I've been playing Ryu and although I've been getting better (not necessarily perfect) with my execution/footsies/thinking during a match, I think the one thing that will help a lot is learning how your character shapes up against all the others.

I think this is why I've been getting my ass beat by certain characters because although I'm getting better at reading my opponents I'm still uncertain about the type of game I should be playing against them.

learn a shota first like Ryu, Ken, Akuma, ERyu, Sakura. As long as you get your fundamentals down then you should pick any character you want then git gud with it
