DS is the only relevant handheld platform?

It feels like that the only silver lining for Nintendo is more or less the DS library. I got my 3DS cause of MH4U for one.

So /v/, why is it that the DS is the only handheld platform that you can actually take with any degree of seriousness over?

I the issue is that it has a lot more support than others. The Vita has a lot of games but a good amount don't come out over here and the ones that do don't get talked about much.
Also the DS/3DS has some fucking hit games on them that work great on a mobile platform. I recently picked up the Ace Attourney trilogy and damn that one is great. And as you posted, Layton is another good example. Pull it out and play some puzzles anytime.
