Rocket league is about to get a lot of new gameplay shit

Psyonix hosted a livestream demonstrating the highly anticipated ‘Mutators’, which will be hitting our games early November! Here is the breakdown of what we learnt:


Mutators:

“Still many surprises” (unrevealed mutators)
Completely free.
Mutator playlist is a public playlist, just like any other and can be played with parties.
Mutator mashup – predetermined 3v3 random mutator game.
Mutator modes may be time limited – Undecided.
New Mutator – Boost recharge. (Boost recharges by default, slowly, on ‘Cubic’).
Mutators can be used in exhibition games but not freeplay/training.
Pinball – Super bouncy/small ball!
Volleyball – Slow/Bigger ball!
You can stack mutators in private matches, have as many as you want.
Hockey:

Hockey mode will have it’s own seperate playlist.
Puck slides on wall and feels heavier than the standard ball.
Limited time – unless popular demand.
Ice floor – Does not affect car but does affect ball.
Other:

Dave are bread.

New Maps! – Announcement coming in a few weeks.
New Item! – Bread Antenna
New Items! – Reddit flag and Snoo.
New Item! – Driveclub flag.
Mac and Steam OS in development – Steam OS will be released first.
Cross platform parties – “Not in the near future”.
Weather toggle is being considered (wont be this update).
No new trophies/achievements.
Rumor – more licenced cars implied on the way
