>>314769589I came around at E3. I was really hoping for a console FE where your units include fused demons. Didn't give a shit about references and cameos and all that irrelevant bullshit, I just wanted a mixture of the gameplay. What we got has nothing to do with FE gameplay wise (unless your stupid ass counts character classes as significant), and I'm not huge on SMT or Persona, which it resembled much more but with a Compile Heart coat of paint.
But I also like things that go so far into the realm of the ludicrous that I can't help but admire their shamelessness, and when the E3 trailer came out and it was so fully incorporating the idol theme into the story and gameplay, I just decided to ignore what I expected it to be and embrace its own potential charms.
