I'm gonna say this about Undertale. I originally ran into the characters through an Undertale Wrestling video my friend showed me, and as I sat there, I was like "This reminds me of Homestuck". I wasn't necessarily wrong, but I was selling Undertale short. While there's some influence from Homestuck, or some influences that the two works share, Hussie makes a good third or more of the Homestuck cast completely unlikable people, either because they're idiots or because they're jerks. Which is acceptable for antagonists, but I found it got even worse on the side of the protagonists to the point that by the time the endless pauses broke my interest entirely, I was rooting for Lord English to just kill all these retards and assholes already. To double-death if he needed to. Radiation has, thankfully, managed to avoid doing that in Undertale. I don't hate any of the major characters, and I can even find reasons to like, respect, or at least tolerate most of the random encounters enough that I can't stand to see them killed. Undertale manages to save true hateability for Flowey and annoying stupidity for certain random encounters and So Sorry, and you don't even need to encounter So Sorry.
