The combination of the image and desktop icons is way too cluttered and therefore unaesthetic. Either choose a more minimalistic wallpaper or remove desktop icons. Why do you have a firefox desktop icon if it's also pinned to your taskbar? Why do you have libraries desktop icon if it's pinned to your taskbar? Why do you have desktop icons of programs you most likely use once every 5 months? Why do you have the recycle bin on your desktop?

Good on the desktop icons+ minimalistic wallpaper combo, but if you have so many video game shortcuts, why not just have a single folder on the desktop for them, or use a library? Less clutter on the desktop and easier access through cleaner organisation.

Middle wallpaper's cyan colour also heavily clashes with the rest of the colour scheme. Lion doesn't fit the animu theme the other two have going on.

Not at all. By cluttered I mean the combination of all the stuff going on in the image, all the colours from the objects in the image and the desktop icons, clashes and results in an eyesore. If you've got lots of icons you should go with something like

Now that's nice. Would go with somewhat smaller desktop icons and I'm not sure why you have both a shortcut and pinned systemcare but otherwise that's an 8

Might also delete steam shortcut and just leave it pinned if you use it very frequently and if it's constantly open.

Not really. You just use piles like folders and can keep different categories of stuff on different walls. And you don't have to use it like I showed. You can just use it like this.

I just like it because it lets me easily change the size of icons, keep my desktop clean, organize the stuff I have into neat piles and generally just configure things as I like.

it still doesn't support visual studio, it still doesn't support all devices with non-free drivers, it doesn't support a powerful image editing application like photoshop, it still doesn't support non-wacom drawing tablets, it still doesn't support oculus.

don't get me wrong, i like linux, i even use it on my laptop and for media streaming on my home server, but i would never put it on a workstation or a gaming rig. linux is good for a lot of things, but the desktop is not one of those things.

I've been trying out Krita as a platform for my art hobbies. It's fairly similar to Photoshop, I have to say; besides that particular point, there are tons of capable program alternatives to Windows programs on GNU/Linux. Alternativeto is a great site for finding 'similar' software. Annnnd, as I've posted-- the /g/ wiki is a great source of information and help.

People use Linux over Windows for a variety of reasons, for me personally I prefer it far above Windows for browsing/watching/coding/writing documents because I have far more control over whats inside my system than what Windows lets me do. I spent a good 80 hours into it so far and I didn't touch the campaign once. I kept doing Hardcore bounties and all the randomization, rift runs and increasingly larger loot tables keep drawing me in ontop of re-doing things with different classes/builds. Playing with my co-workers also helped.

I don't really treat it like a Diablo game, more like a Binding of Isaac with RPG numbers everywhere. I still enjoy it for what it is rather than what it should have been.

It should have been a proper sequel to Diablo 2. It still hurts.

Thanks. Inkscape is alright, kind of unreliable at times but it works. It's good if you draw or make vectors but if you're just image editing PS and GIMP are far better to use.
