For example, I admitted my Gen I bias, but I personally think Mewtwo is a neat design, and has a very interesting fleshed out backstory, especially if we take the anime into account. Does Lucario have that? I wouldn't know because I haven't followed the anime since Johto. I genuinely want to understand why people like this thing. I guess from a furry standpoint it's more appealing than Mewtwo, but is that it? Have kid's standards just gotten worse, or have I just gotten older? And I apologize for the Mewtwo comparison, since I'm not trying to make this about Smash, just the pokemon in general.
