You know I was gonna say daytime can be scary, but then I realized I can't name one actually spooky horror game that takes place in sunlight. Maybe stalker or pathological although those game aren't particularly scary.

I would LOVE to play a game that did this right.

Done right, it could make you even more paranoid than a horror game set at night.

Opening stages of RE4 did this right, although that game really isn't that scary past the first playthrough.
