>>314797039Seriously? You can't see where the hate comes from? I really liked it, but it is very easy to see where the hate comes from. The story is mindboggling bad. Like, bad to a bizarre extent. The Paz plotline was the only thing that wasn't executed insanely poorly, and even that required you to do 10 repetitive side quests just to see a couple of cutscenes. Everything to do with the parasites is stupid. Flame volgin and kid psychomantis are stupid. Skullface is an incredibly weak villain. It's not even the fun kind of stupid like the other Metal Gear games because Miller and Skullface are the only ones actually hamming it up. The twist is heinously contrived and the game is pretentious in the literal sense of the word.
Then you've got the fact that the bosses are shit. There's only like 3 boss fights in the game, and of those 3, the Quiet is average at best and the other 2 are below average by Metal Gear Standards.
As someone who primarily liked this series for the fun plot, hammy dialog, occasionally thought provoking themes and fun boss battles, it;s a wonder I enjoyed it as much as I did. Really, it;s a testament to how good MGSV 's core stealth gameplay really is.
