Tall grass is so easy to find it allows you to quickly make a infinite farm, which means infinite bread, there is never any need to worry about starving
Hunger bars are pointless because of the above, also the whole "your health will regenerate if your hunger bar is full" is retarded
Beds are the fucking worst, rather than needing to face the night and the only moment when mobs will actually try to kill you, you can simply skip the whole night and continue your work, so why even bother?
tl;dr: Minecraft worked better as a creative game rather than a survival game
