Room is also an issue. I dont have the place for my big CRT now. I might just get a converter box but those are expensive.

But because I've been a massive poorfag most of my life I've never been able to get original consoles and games. Especially today as this kind of stuff is collectors and more expensive.

It's been emulation on shitty PCs for 99% of my life so far, which is okay for the most part.

Emu. You can play the game in ways that wasn't possible on the original console. Honestly, what we play on the PC exceed what an idealized version of the console would have done with those titles.

That's really expensive. I'd rather just emulate on my modded Wii. The Wii-mote and Pro controller are close enough to NES and SNES controllers.

It depends on the console thoguh, some of them (or specific games) don't emulate as well, but yeah, having a CRT is a big part of having a genuine experience, also a good pad (preferable the one the game was designed to be played with)

I just bought a chinese replica of the SNES controller for my PC.

Granted, it's not quite as good, but if I can beat Gradius III arcade with it it can't be bad.
