Western cultures in general are fucking boring and uninspired. Take a look at a western mansion, it's either filled with tacky shit or it's muh black and white minimalism. Now look inside an Arabian 'mansion', colour, columns, shapes, refined taste. The east is not afraid to be flamboyant, because they understand colour and form well enough to make it look good.

Japs suck shit though, those robot fuckers are going to be a dead race in the next two centuries.

Basically any culture can be fascinating if it's presented right, it's just that some are a bit over-represented in various media. I'm kinda sick of Vikings, Scandinavian and germanic cultures already.
Lately I've been most fascinated by middle-eastern and central asian cultures, studied quite a bit about them for my worldbuilding enterprises.
I used to be a great fucking weeboo, and I feel like I got everything out of it, so while I do like Japan, it's not what I would go for nowdays.

These days, I really need to force myself to go back and start studying up on Celts and Slavs again, since I'm supposed to be writing lore and mythology for a celto-slavic-inspired fantasy game...
