So since 2K15 was garbage and - judging by the lack of threads about it - I can safely assume 2K16 is nothing special, which wrestling game is the best of the bunch?

I recall enjoying a few of the SmackDown vs Raw games back in the day but I can't recall which ones I played.

Also, I guess general wrasslin' thread. Talk about HIAC and shit.

WCW/nWo Revenge, Smackdown Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain, WWF No Mercy, and Smackdown vs Raw 2007 were all good. Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 on N64 has the best roster of all, though, even if you don't follow Japanese wrestling.

2K15 was basically the beta for 2K16. However yeah, nothing really has improved.

Career mode instead of being built upon, they just made it a longer grind. NXT has a bit of a more expanded story than just Baron Blade, but you ultimately are in mindless matches until a feud is placed upon you. You can force feuds by spontaneously attacking people, but that makes you a heel automatically.

You cannot set random title matches in Universe mode, with no additional new features included. So if you played Universe mode on SvR 2011, its the same as ever.

Creation modes are a fair bit more expanded. But 2K14 already has more than what is on offer. More hair styles, more freedom with clothes, plus has create a story and move.

I used to play Smackdown vs raw 2008 for the wii and i really enjoyed the character creation, plus the custom tournament thing, i was looking for a WWE game for the PC that had the same amount of customization (or the best for the PC at least) so i can go back to make my own custom tournaments and shit, any suggestions for someone who doesn't know shit about Wrestling games?

Yes, you can deform heads. Limbs however are still limited. So you can have a giant ape head on a thin body. But you cannot say... Make lanky arms. 2K14 still provides larger depth for this.

Music and videos in-game only.

Create a entrance is back, but once again only for non-title entrances.

Back. Textures are a better quality and you can use real belts as templates now instead of the generic shapes they had prior

>Create an Arena
Also back, with moveable and rearrangeable stage parts. However everything is set to a grid, so it's not as free as you may imagine.

Wait for 2K16 to come to the PC. Mod support is very indepth already for 2K15, but you are limited to 50 creation slots. That and there are a lot of issues that plague it.

Tournaments are just a pre-set thing you can do these days.

On the PC? Dude, unless you want a really indepth rom hack for No Mercy or Smackdown! 2 (Which trust me, there are a lot) then you aren't going to find a wrestling game.

Wrestling games are purely console experiences until recent. 2K15 is the FIRST pure wrestling port. WCW, WWF etc never came to PC.

Never played any wrestling games before, but I picked this up because it has a lot of the old school guys I want to play like Macho, Piper, dibiase etc

I have no clue wtf I'm doing with the controls and there is no tutorial. Should I keep at it or is there a better wrestling game out there for me?

I'm fine with anything as far back as PS1 and any era up to the end of Attitude
