>Start Persona 4 Golden yesterday
>It's pretty good, voice acting has improved since 3
>Realize after about an hour and a half into it that I've done literally nothing
>That's okay, I like the story so far and the characters are pretty cute
>Spend ANOTHER hour and a half doing nothing
>My brain is practically dying to do ANYTHING in the game at this point
>It takes another 30 or so minutes until actual gameplay begins, and even then it's still a bunch of tutorials and explanations
Why do games now have such long intros? Persona 3 had a long one, but it wasn't THIS long. It isn't even just Persona. The Legend of Zelda has been doing this as well, Skyward Sword pushed it to the point where I was ready to quit before getting to the first dungeon. What is with games getting absurdly long intro's and tutorials as of late?
