Now that Elite is all sold out, is Sony finally giving the idea of 2000mAh version of Dualshock 4 with replaceable thumbsticks and paddle buttons some more thought?

Probably not out of the question since the profit margin on them is probably crazy, but I think they're dumb.

They should definitely sell bigger batteries though.

If they made a version of DS4 without shitty thumbsticks and a decent battery then I'd be cool with it. Maybe make it have a rubberized texture too since the plastic gets worn too easily.

It may mean that adjustable weight, PC gamepad style remapping and macro recording may appear on controllers.

I suppose, hopefully it won't be anything like that though because a ton of 'gaming' keyboards and mice are totally outdone by cheaper stuff that it's ridiculous.

One thing I see going for the Xbone elite controller is that it's first-party and for consoles that's a good thing

I think that Sony may have no choice but to put out their own reference design of sorts for a premium controller. Hori and the likes of Razer will definitely be planning for this premium segment, and they will begin to compete against the niche operators such as SCUF. Sony has to define a reference of what a premium controller on the PS4 would be, lest it abandons its leverage on the peripheral makers and loses out on this market.

Their mice such as the deathadder have construction issues. I can't speak for their recent controllers. They have released the wildcat just now.

I've had the 2013 Deathadder for about two years now and the mouse wheel click went faulty within six months of use. Like, sometimes it won't register at all and sometimes it will, still happens today. Otherwise it still works fine, but yeah I do keep hearing horror stories about their shit as a whole.

Although that'd mean being able to replace the entire joystick switch, not just the rubbery bit
