And the HD classic is an amazing game. But it's also extremely flawed, not to mention insanely time-consuming and quite frankly emotionally draining experience.
I'd say (based on what the devs said too) - go for the HD classic now (the remake is probably not going to be released any sooner than in a year anyway), but it really mainly depends on your own tolerance for bullshit and tedium.
THEN AGAIN: nobody and nothing actually says that the remake won't be as frustrating and slowpaced as the original was. After all, Pathologic is not a game you should have have fun with.
