Anyone of you married, /v/? I've been in a pretty serious relationship for the better part of 2 years now and she's getting pretty insistent about it, but I'm still doubtful. I love her, but how will I have time for vidya if I get hitched? And when will I play games when I have kids, theoretically? It all seems like such a huge step. As soon as they get out of the can't-do-anything-on-their-own stage you'll have more time, but I kinda miss those days. Daughter is 16 now and I still have time for games. The only thing that really changed is I now enjoy Telltale/David Cage/casual type games (as well as the old stuff) where we can all sit around the TV and collectively make the decisions.

Im engaged. We have kids also. Nothing really changes OP if you are already living together. I still got plenty of time for games and other hobbies. Everything changes after kids though. Your schedule. Sleeping schedule kinda. Planning. But its all good. Just go with the flow. You might not have as much free time with a kid together, but you can figure it out to make it work. I did. My wife an I have been together 13 years and been married 5. We've got a kid that's turning 2 in the new year. She works days and I work evenings so we don't have to fork out for childcare.

My days are long and exhausting and most of my gaming gets done when everyone else is asleep. Although my wife doesn't really mind watching me play when the kid is awake. As long as it's nothing scary or gory.

She doesn't mind me gaming as its something I've always done, she even buys me the odd game as a gift now and then.
