Is it fair to think Destiny sucks? Sure, it was questionable out of the gate, but as long as you paid just as much as the original game to get the upgrades it's pretty good!

As someone who's recently gotten back into it and has yet to purchase The Taken King:
It's alright, I wouldn't say it's really great, nor is it really bad, it's sorta in between. It's just one of those games you sorta turn off your brain and play for awhile. Honestly though, the art style is still probably the best thing about it. Bungie just gives armor a certain touch that makes it look good.

Game itself is fine... The pricing how ever is not. It costs so much for so little. Wildstar for example has a FREE patch coming out that has more content in it then the entirety of destiny even with the taken king. Yet buying just the taken king is almost as much as the whole game. In fact it is in most countries. You are paying 40-60 bucks for something worth 10 at the most.

The game was shit at launch but much better now its free. But that isn't the point. The point is a much smaller team, with a much much smaller budget is releasing something for free with more content then the entirety of destiny. While in destiny you are paying anything upwards of 60 bucks for fuck all content.

All explained in game. Whether or not it's shit writing is objective, but don't act like the game doesn't at least give you reason as to why you're shooting the ayylmaos.
