When I was on long trip (not an evangelical trip), some local LDS members found out I was in the area and let me sleep in their guest room instead of paying for a hotel. In the morning they made me breakfast and we prayed together. And it's not the only time it's happened, nor only to me.
Can you imagine strangers these days just letting you sleep in their home and making you breakfast?
